3:50pm Friday 27th September 2013 in News
Cake sales and raffle prizes accompanied a care home’s coffee morning to raise money for a cancer charity.
Sunbridge Care Home in Hickory Close, Edmonton, took part in Macmillan’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ today in a bid to raise money for the cause.
The event raised nearly £150 in cake sales and raffle tickets alone and manager of Sunbridge Care home Roda Williams was happy to support the cause as family and friends came to enjoy the coffee morning.
She added: "This is a great way to showcase the excellent services and facilities provided at Sunbridge and the fantastic work that goes on here.
“It also brings residents, families and staff together to have fun, connect with the local community and for people to come and have a look around our home. But most importantly, it is a great opportunity for us to play our part in raising money for Macmillan."
