Marjorie Norman dies following traffic collision in Tottenham's High Road
An elderly woman who died when a mobility scooter collided with a car in Tottenham has been formally identified.
Marjorie Norman, of Tottenham, was crossing the High Road, at the junction with Cedar Road, when her scooter was in a collision with a Silver Ford Focus on Tuesday, October 1, at 6.18pm.
Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to the scene.
The 76-year-old woman was treated at the scene by paramedics but died while on the way to hospital.
Her next of kin have been informed and formal identification has taken place.
A post mortem is due to take place on Monday, October 7, and an inquest will be opened at Barnet Coroner's Court.
The driver stopped at the scene and has not been arrested.
Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit based at Northolt Traffic Garage are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses.
