Campaign group to quiz mental health trust about hospital facilities
5:27pm Monday 7th October 2013 in News
A new campaign group will quiz a health trust tonight about care at a mental health hospital.
St Ann’s Hospital in St Ann’s Road, Haringey, failed to meet minimum standards of patient care and welfare last month and new campaign group Haringey Needs St Ann’s Hospital (HANSAH), will be questioning the Mental Health Trust (MHT) about its facilities.
The group is unhappy that the MHT have not increased mental health facilities and have no child development centre as promised at a previous consultation meeting. There has also been a reduction in the number of mental health beds at St Ann’s from 50 to 35, angering HANSAH.
The Overview and Scrutiny Committee will begin at 6pm this evening.
