Two men have been arrested after a smoke bomb hit a linesman during Tottenham’s victory against Aston Villa yesterday.
The men, aged 25 and 47, were arrested by West Midlands Police after a smoke bomb hit assistant referee David Bryan on the back of the neck.
Fortunately, Mr Bryan was not injured and continued until the final whistle.
The incident overshadowed a comfortable 2-0 away win for Spurs, with goals from Andros Townsend and Roberto Soldado at Villa Park.
