A man has been cautioned after sending a series of anti-Semitic messages on Twitter during a Tottenham Hotspur match.
The 55-year-old man who lives in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, sent offensive tweets about the Holocaust and made references to Adolf Hitler during Spurs' game against West Ham on October 6.
He was arrested this morning as part of an investigation launched after the Metropolitan Police received a complaint about the messages.
In addition to the anti-Semitic tweets, officers also found messages on the suspect's account that were abusive to and incited violence against Muslims.
The Twitter account - handle @pienmashgeezer - has since been suspended.
The 55-year-old was arrested at his home and was taken into custody at a north London police station on suspicion of malicious communications.
