A thief has been jailed after he was caught when he left a glove at the scene of his crime.
Jeremy Kavuma, 42, of Mattison Road, Harringay, was jailed for 14 weeks when he appeared at Highbury Magistrates Court last week for breaking into a car and stealing a holdall and a satellite navigation system.
The 35-year-old victim was visiting friends in Hornsey and parked his car overnight in Alexander Road.
Upon returning to the car the next morning, on the November 25, he found his rear quarter light smashed and the bag and sat nav stolen.
Kavuma was arrested after forensic analysis was carried out on a black woollen glove that was left on the back seat of the car.
