A well-known BBC journalist has become the latest Muswell Hill celebrity to support plans for the expansion of a school for children with debilitating condition.
Robert Peston, the BBC’s economics editor, has backed new plans for the London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy (LCCCP), in Muswell Hill road.
The school wants to build new premises so it can more than double the number of pupils and provide more classes for Year 9 pupils and those taking their GCSEs.
Mr Peston said: "This is a rare opportunity for an excellent charity to expand its important work with children that have cerebral palsy."
The plans also include building 28 new homes on the site of the old Green Man pub at Muswell Hill.
Haringey Borough Council’s planning committee will consider the proposals on December 19.
