GPs have urged people to make them their first port of call with any non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries during the holiday season.
The reminder is part of move to reduce the pressure on emergency services and A&E departments.
According to the Haringey Clinical Commissioning Group, GPs can provide same-day assessment and advice for a range of medical conditions and can be contacted by calling 111 outside office hours.
