Man arrested on suspicion of murder of woman
A man has been arrested for murder following the suspicious death of a woman.
Officers were called to Elizabeth Blackwell House, Wood Green, just before 5am on Thursday morning to reports of a woman found unconscious.
A 42-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and police are treating the incident as suspicious.
A 43-year-old man attended Tottenham Police Station later on December 19 and was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a north London police station.
A post-mortem examination will take place today at Haringey Mortuary.
Next of kin have been informed but police are awaiting formal identification.
