Community events and projects which bring people across Tottenham together could receive a cash boost of up to £2,500.
Haringey Borough Council has offered community groups in Tottenham Green, Bruce Grove, Northumberland Park and West Green a share of more than £55,000 from this year’s Community First Fund.
Dozens of projects to bring people together since 2011 have already been supported by the Government-funded scheme, which aims to support residents who want to improve their local area.
These include art installations, community gardens and even a wrestling talent show for young people.
Panels from each ward will consider applications which help achieve the priorities of residents, with grants of between £500 and £2,500 available.
Councillor Richard Watson, cabinet member for communities, said: “This scheme is a great way to put power in the hands of local residents who have ideas to improve their community.
“We’ve already seen a diverse range of projects supported during the past two years, and I hope to see applications flooding in for new ways to bring Tottenham together.”
Each panel will make recommendations to the Community Development Foundation, which manages the scheme, on which projects should receive grants.
Applications begin to close on February 24.
