A family business has donated a drum kit to a school in Tottenham to help them start an after school music programme.

Supply Book, a recruitment company in Southgate, Enfield, made the donation to Bruce Grove Primary School, in Tottenham, on Thursday afternoon.

Theo Petri, the company’s recruitment director, explained that the idea to donate the drum kit came after a chat with Justin Watson, the school’s business manager.

He said: “We work with Bruce Grove Primary a lot and Justin is a keen drummer.

“He told me the school was trying to get some equipment together to start an after school music programme.

“So we decided this is something we could help with. We wanted to give back and this is a small thing for us but it will make a big difference to the children at the school.”

Supply Book works with schools to provide supply teachers and support staff and is helping another school in the area to setup an orchestra by donating one instrument every term.
