Nearly three years after Tottenham was torn apart by riots, members of the capital’s watchdog will see the progress of regeneration for themselves.

The Greater London Assembly’s regeneration committee will tour the parts of the borough blighted by the 2011 riots on Thursday and hear how the Mayor of London has allocated money to rejuvenate them.

They will also visit the site of Tottenham Hotspur’s new ground to see the progress of building work.

The highlight of the day will be a fashion show in which assembly members will strut their stuff on the catwalk wearing creations of local designers who have benefited from the regeneration fund.
