Young women who created a radio show to help others eat healthily, look good and cope with the financial pressures of living in the capital are in the running for a national prize.

Sabrina Parker, 22, and Semar Byrue, 18, are through to the England finals of Lloyds Bank’s Money for Life challenge, a competition created to help people in communities around the UK manage their money.

The pair created The Talk Money Show in November 2013 with a £500 grant from Money for life.

Working with UnityRadioOnline.com, they set out to reach at target audience of young women living on their own, with the show focusing on healthy living and looking good on a budget.

They will present their projects alongside the four other finalists at London Zoo on April 2.
