People can follow in the footsteps of celebrity fundraisers Davina McCall, Alan Shearer and Robbie Savage in a charity run in Haringey next weekend.
Children and adults of all ages can sign up for the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile at Lordship Rec in Haringey on Sunday March 23.
Sunday’s first race kicks off at 11am, with distances starting at just one mile and going up to three or six miles for more confident runners.
Tamsin Fudge, Haringey Council’s athletics activator, said: “I am delighted that so many people have already signed up but we want even more people in Haringey to take part and make it the best Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile yet.
“Lordship Rec is completely accessible so anyone of any ability can come and join in.”
In addition to the running, Lordship Rec will also play host to beat the goalie, netball shoot out and mini tennis competitions with entertainment being provided by local bands including Pan Nation youth steel band.
Entry costs £6 for adults, or £3 for children under 16.
