Haringey Youth Council’s environment champions are leading the charge to keep the borough cleaner and greener with a new mobile phone app.
The youth council’s environment champion Hassan Hussain and shadow champion Rosa Fass teamed up with Haringey Borough Council’s cabinet member for environment, Councillor John Bevan, to try out the Our Haringey app last week.
It allows people to report environmental issues such as fly-tipping, dumping, dog mess, graffiti and potholes while on the go via a smart phone.
Members of the youth council have called on more young people to download the app and help tackle environmental crime in the borough.
