Firefighters were called to Rowland Hill Avenue at 3.10am on March 4, to reports of a Nissan Serena people carrier on fire.

Nobody was inside the vehicle at the time.

The incident is being treated as arson and the London Fire Brigade confirmed that an accelerant was used to deliberately set the car alight.

Detective Constable Kay Sekyere "This is a very serious incident. Fortunately no one was inside the car at the time and no one was close to the vehicle when it was set alight as it could have resulted in someone receiving very nasty injuries and the potential loss of life."
