Musicians did their bit to fight back against the internet when they gave a live performance in a record store.
People flocked to Les Aldrich Music, in Fortis Green, Muswell Hill, to browse through vinyl and CDs as part of the national Record Store Day.
The day included a DJ set and north London band Native Birds also gave a live performance.
Staff said the atmosphere in the room was “as electric as Christmas Eve” and the shop nearly doubled its takings during the event.
Manager Oliver Briggs said: “It was a roaring success. It bought a lot more people than normal into the shop.
“Even though the internet and things like iTunes have left many record stores struggling, vinyl is something which will never die. People love flicking through vinyl.
“Anything that helps remind people we’re here and what we offer is a good thing in my book.”
