A cadet has topped off an impressive winning streak by being named Sports Person of the Year in her squadron.
Cadet Nikki Siow, of 16F Wood Green & Hornsey Squadron, had previously won ten medals, five of which were gold, and two trophies for various sporting activities.
She represented London & South East Region in a swimming competition and has also represented Middlesex Wing in swimming, cross country and athletics.
Nikki said: “It’s really great to be recognised in this way. I love sport and it’s great to go out and compete for the squadron.”
Her squadron commander and Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve of the training branch, Flight Lieutenant Martyn Dawson, said: “Nikki is a really great cadet who works hard at everything she does on the squadron. She is a very deserving winner of this award.”
