The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London is celebrating top marks in its latest Ofsted inspection.

The education watchdog judged the college in High Road, Tottenham and Hertford Road, good or outstanding across all areas.

Inspectors were impressed with the 95 per cent success rate of learners achieving their qualifications.

The leadership and management of the college was given the highest 'outstanding' rating, was was provision in business, finance and accounting apprenticeships.

Jane O'Neill, interim principal and chief executive, said: "Our significant improvement is a major ongoing journey that includes the whole college, partnerships and communities.”

The college is investing another £3.3million to build a new sports centre and library at its Enfield base, which will be ready for students enrolling in September 2014.

"We want to make sure that our sports and learning facilities are exceptional, ensuring that we become the college of first choice for all learners living in Haringey and Enfield."
