Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in South Tottenham.

Officers were called to an area of overgrown land between Ermine Road and a nearby railway line at 11.35am yesterday.

They found the body of a man, thought to be in his 50s, with a suspected head injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are now investigating.

Three men near the scene - aged 32, 50 and 30 - were arrested in connection with the death and were taken to a north London police station.
