Both Haringey Liberal Democrats and Labour have pledged to freeze council tax for the next four years if they gain control of the council on May 22.
Currently, Haringey has the fifth highest council tax in London.
The Labour administration has frozen council tax for the last five years and promised to continue the freeze.
The Lib Dem opposition says it wants to bring Haringey’s council tax in line with the London average.
Liberal Democrat group leader Cllr Richard Wilson said: "We have been campaigning for a council tax freeze since 2008. Everyone knows that Labour would not have frozen council tax for the past few years without the coalition government funding the freeze to the tune of £6m."
