A pair of teenagers walked away with the top prizes in a photography competition in Muswell Hill and Fortis Green.

Cameron Wells and Hannah Beskine impressed the judges with their artistic entries enough to see off tough competition from a number of other entries.

The annual competition, organised by the Muswell Hill and Fortis Green Association, invited local residents to submit their images of the area.

Cameron was the unanimous choice of local professional photographers Zoe Norfolk and Matt Humphrey, two of the three judges, who were captivated by the “ethereal and impressionistic” image entitled ‘Football in the Fog at Fortismere’.

They said the picture “captured the fog’s battle with the sun beautifully, and the matchstick figures were positively Lowreyesque”.

Tony Wells, a committee member and the third judge, was most impressed with the work of Hannah Beskine, who submitted three entries of reflections on water.

Her 'Reflections Fortismere School' entry grabbed the runners-up spot.
