Thieves steal nurse's wedding jewellery and douse her home in bleach

A nurse returned to her home in Highgate to find burglars had sprayed her home with bleach.

Community mental health nurse Moreblessing Mueerwi, 41, had the expensive jewellery, which was given to her as a wedding present, stolen from her flat in Rowlands Close, Highgate.

Among the stolen items were six pairs of gold earrings, a gold bracelet and a diamond necklace.

Police officers investigating the crime suspect the bleach was sprayed to remove any fingerprints that might have been left at the scene.
