The King serenaded visitors when a care home held an open day.

Priscilla Wakefield House Nursing Home, in Tottenham, supported National Care Home Open Day on Friday by opening its doors to the public.

The event, held in the home’s courtyard, included music from a steel pan band and an Elvis tribute performance.

Indoors, artwork from Beata, a care assistant at the home, was hung on the walls along with paintings from pupils at Earlsmeade Primary School.

Kim Taylor, who works at the home, said: “It was a fantastic day and it was a pleasure to see residents, staff, family members and visitors enjoying each other’s company, the environment and entertainment.

“We wanted to get the local community into the home to show them what we can offer and what we do.

“We’re just off Broad Lane, so if you weren’t looking for us you might not see us.”
