Haringey Left Unity holding Tottenham talk to combat 'housing crisis'

A left-wing political party is holding a public meeting to discuss what it describes as a housing crisis in the borough.

Haringey Left Unity will be holding the ‘Housing in Crisis. What Can Be Done?’ meeting on Thursday at 7.30pm in the Chestnuts Community Centre, in St Ann’s Road, Tottenham.

The party says it wants to put pressure on Haringey Council to build more affordable homes.

There is masses of room in unused land in land banks and empty homes owned by speculators but no coherent housing policy since the 1979 election from any government.
