An elderly woman has been rescued from a flat fire in Tottenham.
Six fire engines and 35 firefighters were called to the sixth floor flat on Campbell Road on Friday, July 25 were crews tackled the blaze between 2.55pm and 4.47pm.
The council home was owned by an elderly lady and her son, according to Maya Arshad who lives above the fire gutted home.
She said: “My home started to smell really badly and you could feel the heat coming from below. We were told to get out by the fire crew and I was worried about the lady in the flat.
“I could see her son was outside the building but I could not see her anywhere. The home is really badly damaged and I saw it being gutted by the council today. It looks like everything has been destroyed.”
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and no injuries have been reported.
