A dramatic crash at a busy junction left roads into Haringey closed this morning.

A silver car rolled onto its side at the junction between Green Lanes and Seven Sisters Road, leaving both roads cordoned off.

Police said two cars were involved in a crash at around 5.45am. The London Ambulance Service said they had taken one man to hospital with back and abdominal pain.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “We received a call just before 4.20am reporting of a collision between Seven Sisters Road and Green Lanes.

“We sent an ambulance crew, a single responder, and a duty officer, and arrived within five minutes of the call being made.

“We treated one patient, a 51-year-old man, who was fully conscious and had got out of the car before we arrived.

“We stabilised him and he was taken to the Royal London Hospital”.

Buses in the area remained on diversion during rush hour this morning, with roads still closed at 9.30am. One Twitter user described the scene as "madness at Manor House".
