Tottenham MP David Lammy has announced he will put himself forward to be Labour's candidate for Mayor of London.
To run in the mayoral election the MP must still be selected by the Labour Party, and has not yet been named as their official candidate.
Mr Lammy's office has confirmed that he will stand to be Tottenham MP again in 2015, but will resign from this role if successfully elected Mayor of London in May 2016.
