A man has been charged following an anti-Semitic incident on a bus.
Ian Campbell, 42, of Bowes Road, Bounds Green, was charged yesterday with racially aggravated harassment and using threatening behaviour to cause distress.
He has been conditionally bailed to attend Hendon Magistrates’ Court on October 9, with the condition not to travel on the route 102 bus between Golders Green and Henlys Corner.
The incident is alleged to have taken place on Tuesday, September 16.
Police were called by a woman travelling on the route 102 bus at around 6.20pm, who claimed a man on the bus was making anti-Semitic comments.
She told them she was at Great North Way, in Hendon, but there was no trace of the bus or victim when police arrived on the scene.
The suspect got off the bus at Finchley Road and the victim continued her journey.
