A youth community group has received a makeover of its facilities thanks to a leading builders warehouse.
Severe floods and a lack of funding had left the TS Wizard building in Tottenham, used by Sea Cadets Haringey four nights a week, in a state of disrepair.
Staff from Selco Builders Warehouse in White Hart Lane provided labour and materials to help repair the buildings.
Jamie Robinson, branch manager of Tottenham Selco branch, said: “The sea cadets originally asked us for paint and when we went along, we found the building in a pretty bad way.
“It is used by around 40 children from the local area four nights a week so is a real focal point for the community and we wanted to make a real difference.
“Along with our suppliers, we provided the paint to redecorate and also a kitchen which we fitted and everyone was delighted with the way it has turned out.
“Hopefully we have made a real difference to the Sea Cadets Haringey and they can have many happy years at their venue.”
Stuart Jackson, officer in charge of Haringey Sea Cadets, said the group was “extremely grateful”.
