Tottenham Hotspur players spread Christmas joy on the club’s annual visit to North London hospitals.

Mousa Dembele, Benjamin Stambouli and Jan Vertonghen, along with ladies skipper Jenna Schillaci visited children in the rainbow ward at North Middlesex University Hospital, in Sterling Way, Edmonton.

The players handed out presents to children in the ward putting smiles on the faces of everyone at the hospital.

Defender Vertonghen said: "It was good that we were able to give these children and their families something to smile about because Christmas is a special time of year.

"These visits always make a big impression on the squad, it puts things in perspective, and we hope they will all be home soon.”

Elsewhere, Eric Dier, Younes Kaboul, Michel Vorm and Leanna Mabey wen to Barnet Hospital’s galaxy ward with Nabil Bentaleb, Ben Davies, Ryan Mason and Danny Rose visiting the dolphin ward at Princess Alexander.

Nacer Chadli, Vlad Chiriches and Christian Eriksen were joined by Avilla Bergin on the acorn ward at Whipps Cross.
