A once failing primary school has been praised by an MP for its outstanding Ofsted report.
Tottenham MP David Lammy visited Crowland Primary School, in Crowland Road, South Tottenham, to congratulate pupils after the school went from a failing school to being rated 'outstanding' in record time.
The primary school was told it ‘required improvement’ in an Ofsted report in January 2013, but had dramatically improved by July 2014 when it were awarded an ‘outstanding’ rating.
During his visit, the Tottenham MP led an assembly inspiring children with their plans for their future, encouraging them to “take what is in your teacher's brains for free”.
Pupils were also given the opportunity to ask questions about Mr Lammy's life and about plans to develop Tottenham.
