A market championing the best of Tottenham and Haringey produce is due to launch at a primary school on Mothering Sunday.
Chestnuts Primary School will play host to Chestnuts Market on Sunday March 15 with free gifts for the first 30 mums and children.
The market is set to promote the best of Haringey produce with stalls ranging from Tottenham cheeses to cakes from Stroud Green as well as a host of other delicacies.
Market creator Marika Gauci, a Haringey resident for 17 years and former punk rocker, wants to help start-up food businesses in the area and enrich the sense of community.
She said: “I love and care about the area and want to create a market that contributes to its community feel.
“As well as show-casing the best local producers and street food I want to create a welcoming atmosphere with music, balloons and good vibes.
“There will be something for everyone to enjoy, so come along for a Sunday feast.”
The market will be open from 11am to 3pm at Chestnuts Primary School in Black Boy Lane on Sunday March 15 with activities for children available.
