Ikea celebrates 10 years in community
Furniture giant Ikea will celebrate 10 years in Haringey with a range of free activities.
Over the course of today and tomorrow Ikea in Angel Edmonton Road, Tottenham will host a series of free party games and entertainment including Connect 4, ring-toss, a magician, stilt-walker and face painting.
The store still employs 87 people from its workforce on the day it opened ten years ago and now has a staff of more than 380 people from the surrounding community.
IKEA Tottenham store manager Guiliano Meroni said: “We’ve now been open for a decade and want to thank our customers for making the store such a success.”
