Convicted criminals who are getting their lives back on track helped paint a community centre.
The group of ten took part in a ‘community payback project’ run by the government at the Selby Centre, in Tottenham.
They learnt painting, gardening and carpentry skills.
As well as completing the hours of their community orders, they are also being trained so they can seek work when their sentences expire.
