The Liberal Democrats have announced their new group leader and deputy leader.
Councillor for Muswell Hill Gail Engert has been appointed leader of the Lib Dem group on Haringey Borough Council.
Her colleague, Highgate councillor Liz Morris, will take the position of deputy leader.
The announcements were made during last night’s full council meeting at Alexandra Palace in South Terrace, Alexandra Park.
Ms Engert said: “I am privileged to be leading a dedicated group of Liberal Democrat councillors.
“We will continue to work together to hold the Labour Leadership of the council to account and represent our residents.”
Ms Morris and Ms Engert have both lived in their respective wards for over a decade.
Ms Morris said: “I look forward to taking on my new role as deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats in Haringey.
"We have a great team of councillors who work very hard for residents.”
