A children’s centre has received two 'good' ratings from Ofsted in the space of a month.

South Grove Children’s Centre in South Grove, Tottenham, was visited by Ofsted inspectors twice in four weeks and was assessed as 'good' in all aspects of its work on both occasions.

The centre provides 12 free places for two year olds who are eligible and the report highlighted the work that staff undertakes to improve lives and reduce inequalities.

The centre is now aiming to take the next step and achieve an 'outstanding' rating next time around.

Chairman of governors Zena Brabazon said: “I am delighted that the hard work of staff at South Grove has been acknowledged by Ofsted.

“Achieving 'good' in all our work has made us determined to take our work a stage further to 'outstanding' next time.

“Thanks to all our staff, parents and wonderful children South Grove will go from strength to strength.”
