An international charity has announced it will sponsor scholarships at a drama school.
The Matthew Martino Benevolent Fund (MMBF) has opened applications for the 2015 intake at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in Coburg Road, Wood Green.
There will be a single place available on the one year foundation in acting course as well as three places for the young performers’ intake.
Both courses are structured to give students a thorough grounding in all aspects of their chosen field.
A spokesman for the MMBF said: “We are pleased to be working with Mountview to support talent in the Haringey area and also on a more national scale.
“We hope with the development of our scholarships we will be able to reach more drama students and creative talent and help them fulfil their dreams.”
The benevolent fund is an international organisation set up to support young people with an interest to follow a career in the film industry.
The fund welcomes applications from anywhere in the world and aims to support individuals whose careers are at standstill due to having no resources to move their aspirations forward.
