Apparently money really does grow on trees after a document revealed Haringey Borough Council raked in more than £800,000 from a park in 2014.

A Freedom of Information Request response showed that the council made £845,000 from Finsbury Park in 2014 thanks to hiring it out for a string of concerts and fun fairs.

The park played host to the Arctic Monkeys and Wireless Festival last year with the festival due to return again in July.

The FoI also revealed that the park has the equivalent of one and a half full-time litter picking staff and the council has never fined anybody for having an illegal barbecue in it.
