On the fence: Junior fencers pose with their medals after youth games victory
A successful weekend for Haringey youngsters at the London Youth Games saw the borough fencing team take gold.
The borough’s fencers took the top slot in the junior event while the seniors finished in twelfth position.
The male hockey and squash teams also cruised through the qualifying rounds at the Balfour Beatty London Youth Games at Redbridge Leisure Centre in east London.
Francesca Gill team manager for the Haringey fencing team said: “It’s absolutely brilliant considering the senior result was so good we were absolutely thrilled with it."
