Spurs fans call for the return of flags and banners after a survey reveals that match-goers are unhappy with the atmosphere at White Hart Lane.

The latest Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust (THST) end-of-season survey has revealed that 51 per cent of Spurs fans are not satisfied with the match day atmosphere.

A total of 69 per cent of fans suggested a safe standing area in the new stadium could improve it in the future, while 46 per cent added they would purchase a season ticket in that area.

Some also added that they flags and banners could help, with 59 per cent of respondents believing they would lift the crowd.

Fans were also asked for their opinion on how to improve the atmosphere at White Hart Lane, with one calling for the return of the drum and another adding that the fans should be treated as supporters rather than customers.

A good level of satisfaction with both stewarding and policing at White Hart Lane was recorded, with 62 per cent pleased with stewarding and 58 per cent satisfied with policing.

Only half of fans said they were satisfied with the teams on field performance last season, however.
