A director of mobile phone and computer repair shop has been ordered to pay nearly £9,000 by a court after being convicted of selling dodgy iPhone goods.
Internet Express Ltd, based on Kilburn Lane, and company director Sadik Gica, of Princess Avenue, Muswell Hill, were together sentenced to pay £8,768 in fines and costs by Harrow Crown Court, after Brent Council’s Trading Standards Officers uncovered that they were selling illegal iPhone goods.

The user then reported the incident to Brent Council’s Trading Standards team and officers then visited the shop found the business to also be selling counterfeit phone covers, including trademarked logos of Manchester United and Liverpool football clubs, One Direction, Burberry and Angry Birds.
A total of 61 chargers and 22 counterfeit phone covers were seized.
The company pleaded guilty to six charges relating to the safety issues of the charges, and guilty to a further four charges of possessing counterfeit phone chargers.
