A TEENAGER, accused of stabbing a girl to death in Bounds Green earlier this year was today told that he will stand trial next May.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named, is said to have attacked Danielle Johnson behind some garages in Palmerston Road on May 28.
The hair and beauty student at Waltham Forest College died on June 8 at the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead.
A post mortem revealed she died from a stab wound to the chest and head injuries.
The alleged killer, from north London, was set to enter a plea to a murder charge at the Old Bailey today, but the case was adjourned for a further four weeks because of delays over medical reports.
Judge Stephen Kramer, QC, set a plea and case management hearing for November 30.
He then set a trial date of May 12 next year. The case is expected to last five days.
Miss Johnson's mum Jan and members of her family from Chingford, sat in the well of the court during today's hearing, while the dead victim's friends watched from the public gallery.
The teenage boy, sporting afro-style hair tied back, spoke only to confirm his name.
