A Tottenham man denied shooting a teenage girl dead on a packed pub dance floor when he appeared in court today.
Triston Walker, 21, is accussed of killing Annaka Pinto during clashes between two groups of youths in The Swan pub and club, in Philip Lane, Tottenham.
The 17-year-old was rushed to hospital just after 5am on June 23 this year, but died from a single bullet wound.
Unemployed Walker, of Reed Road, Tottenham, was arrested on July 21 in Oxfordshire and appeared via videolink at the Old Bailey today to enter his not guilty plea.
His live-in girlfriend Simone Manning, 18, appeared in the dock to deny assisting an offender.
Walker's friends Marlon Golding, 23, and Ricardo Lumsden, 31, also pleaded not guilty to the same charge.
Lumsden, of Sheldon Road, Edmonton, also denied possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Manning, who used to live with Walker in Reed Road but has since moved to Chingford, is said to have offered 'food, money and domestic assistance' to her boyfriend between June 23 and July 21. Golding, of Somerset Gardens, Creighton Road, Tottenham, is accused of removing a 'bullet casing and hat belonging to Walker' from the Swan pub.
Victim Annaka, of Upper Edmonton, had just finished her GCSE exams when she died.
The trial is due to begin June 16 next year and is expected to last five weeks.
Walker and Lumsden have been remanded in custody while Manning and Golding were released on bail.
