Preparations for this year's Tottenham Carnival got off to a colourful start at its official launch on Monday.
Carnival dancers in sparkling costumes joined organisers to encourage businesses and traders to get on board.
The carnival, now in its eleventh year, promises to be the biggest to date, - running as part of the Lee Valley Festival to be held between June 19 to June 22.
Boasting a new zone for disabled people and better facilities for children and pensioners, the committee is selling the event as a great place for businesses to advertise their services.
Nicky Price, festival chairman, said: "We are now seen as the largest carnival and festival in North London and we provide the best arena to showcase to the community.
"We have a lot to offer and this year we are changing the layout in the park in an exciting and innovative way to better reflect the importance of the businesses in our borough."
Tottenham Hotspurs have already signed up for a float.
The festival will include special arts events for young people at the Bernie Grant centre and an opportunity to try out new sports at the Lee Valley athletics centre.
More than 60,000 people are expected to attend the four-day event set to cost more than £50,000.
