Tottenham McDonald's puts Wi-Fi on the menu

MCDONALD'S in Tottenham has gone "minimalist" and introduced free Wi-Fi to make the fast food joint more attractive to families and professionals.

Franchise owner Hamid Darbani spent more than £85,000 on ten new staff and improvements to the interior design such as trendy lights, comfortable seats and the free internet access.

Mr Darbani claims that not only has the makeover encouraged new faces to visit the restaurant but sales up with record profits in April and May.

He said: ”My customers are delighted with our new image, particularly families from the local area who have welcomed the improved look and feel.

"The restaurant is more appealing to families and we no longer have issues with large gangs of youths gathering in the dining area.”

He addedd: “It is great to be able to use the success of this new image to give something back to the community, both through offering more employment opportunities and in providing a comfortable and more welcoming dining experience."
