IN the same week Haringey was named as one of London's noisiest boroughs, the council has warned summer-loving residents to keep noise at their parties down.
Haringey Council has also issued a seven-point guide to help school residents on being more considerate and revealed it will increase the number of noise pollution officers to help crack down on residents hosting noisy late-night summer parties.
The tips include telling neighbours in advance that you're planning party or, better still, invite them.
And if you, or your child, plays a musical instrument keep practice times within sociable hours, the guide adds.
Councillor Nilgun Canver, cabinet member for enforcement and safer communities, said: "It is great to be able to get out into the garden and spend the evening with friends.
"However, during the summer months, the number of noise complaints increases, particularly regarding neighbours who are playing loud music with their windows open, and late-night parties.
"With this in mind we have taken on more officers to help deal with any problems but also ask residents to be mindful of their neighbours when holding garden parties or when they have windows open."
The council also advised residents disturbed by noise to try talking the problem through with their neighbours before calling the council.
But if neighbours become aggressive it is best to walk away, the council added.
