SPURS boss Harry Redknapp will stand trial in July accused of tax evasion.

The 63-year-old is accused of cheating the taxman out of £40,000 in allegations that date back to his time as Portsmouth manager.

The charges relate to two sums of money totalling $295,000 US Dollars allegedly paid into a Monaco bank account by then Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric.

Mr Mandaric, Mr Redknapp, and former Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie were all charged with offences after a police investigation into financial dealing at the club.

Their cases were brought before Southwark Crown Court this afternoon, and Mr Redknapp's trial has been listed for July.

All three men deny the charges against them.
