Black activists rally support in Tottenham

A BLACK activist group will hold a discussion evening on ways to fight government spending cuts in Tottenham this evening.

David Lammy MP and Lee Jasper will be among guest speakers at Bernie Grant Arts Centre, in Town Hall Approach Road, from 6.30pm.

The event is organised by Black Activists Rising Against Cuts (BARAC), which claims there will be a disproportionate impact on deprived communities with a reduction in public spending.

All are welcome to the evening. For more information, call Zita Holbourne on 07711 861660.

I used to live in Tottenham, and David Lammy was my MP. He was useless, as all I ever received when writing to him "Thank you for..." and that would respond soon (that never happened). He was only interested in his own private business ventures and "black issues". I am awfully sorry, but as British MP, he is supposed to represent ALL his constituents, not just the ones he chooses.
