POLICE say they are "assessing" reports on social media sites including Twitter of further riots being planned tonight in Tottenham, Edmonton and Enfield Town centre.
Commander Adrian Hanstock, said: "We are aware of various reports on social media networks of further disorder being planned and any intelligence will be assessed and actioned.
"A policing operation is in place across London and local officers are on the streets in Tottenham."
Reports are suggesting shops in Enfield Town centre have closed early amid fears that rioters and looters intend to target them.
